Movie You Must See: Factory Girl

Factory Girl: Sexy.Uncut.Unrated.
Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) is a young heiress from California and an aspiring artist studying in Massachusetts. Sedgwick visits New York and is introduced to the already infamous pop artists Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce). Warhol is very intrigued by Sedgwick and invites her to be in one of his movies. Warhol and Sedgwick become friends fast, and Sedgwick is absorbed into the glamorous culture of The Factory, Warhol's film studio. Sedgwick becomes the darling of The Factory, starring in several films, and is referred to as the "Warhol Superstar". Bits of Sedgwick's past begin to resurface: her father's, "Fuzzy", sexual molestation of her at an early age, her time in an insane asylum, her homosexual brother's suicide. Sedgwick adopts a very frivolous lifestyle, buying expensive clothes, meals, and various other indulgences. Her family's financial advisor warns her that her trust fund is running out and that her parents refuse to give her anymore money because they disapprove of her new lifestyle. Sedgwick mostly ignores him, though she and Warhol do begin arguing about money (Warhol claims that his films make no profit and doesn't pay any of his actors). Edie also begins developing a drug habit, something she picked up at The Factory.
