Chaise Vari by Esrawe

The Chaise Vari, handmade outdoor furniture of metal and PVC cord by Mexico's Esrawe Studio, is a reinterpretation of the work done by itinerant weavers in the streets of Mexico City who create woven pieces for passersby. Other designs by Esrawe include the Block Bookshelves that fit together thanks to slots and the Centipede series of benches that offers movement and grace to users who can choose from concave or convex seating, or even a spot to lie down. The many legs make it look as though the piece is walking, and the undulating shape adds to the sense of fluidity.

The Foreign Exchange x ?uestlove "Purple Flip"

Via Nicolay's site we're blessed with this amazing tribute to Prince , "Purple Flip," by The Foreign Exchange , ?uestlove, Zo! and Carlitta Durrand. I'll let 'Tay and Nic explain this one: "In the wake of the incredible loss we suffered on June 25, this joint took on somewhat of a deeper meaning. We decided to share it with our fans not only as a token of appreciation, but also as a way of paying respect to one of our last living musical geniuses. Let's not wait until tragedy strikes before we show love and gratitude to our heroes, people. Give them their flowers while they live. This one's for you, Mr. Nelson. You are loved and appreciated." This joint was recorded over a month ago for a tribute party ?uestlove was organizing to honor Prince. For you non-purple-heads, the Prince song they are flipping is "Take Me With You."
